Barcelona announce Ibrahimovic presentation Monday

Barcelona have announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be unveiled as their latest signing tomorrow.

The departing Inter Milan striker will be in the city this afternoon ahead of his signing ceremony tomorrow at the Nou Camp - which will kickoff at 6:30pm.

This afternoon, Ibra will take part in a photo session and will have a medical on Monday morning before his presentation.

Messi demands Barcelona buy Inter Milan's Ibrahimovic

European champs Barcelona are planning a major bid for Inter Milan striker Ibrahimovic.

Corriere dello Sport says Barca star Lionel Messi has urged president Joan Laporta to bring the Swede to the Nou Camp.

And Laporta is ready to meet Messi's request by offering £17 million cash plus Samuel Eto'o in exchange for Ibra.

The super Swede will be handed a base salary of £6.5 million, but with sponsorship and bonuses could stand to make an amazing £12 million-a-year.

Meanwhile, if Ibra hits goal number 25 this weekend in Serie A he will be due a stunning £400,000 bonus.

Sergio Ramos: Real Madrid can win the title

Sergio Ramos insists Real Madrid can still win the Spanish Liga.

After eight consecutive victories, Ramos said: "I think it is possible to win the league. There are many points to play for and even if mathematically Barcelona are champions, we are not going to stop fighting.

"Realistically the distance is vast, but if we continue on the same line and they stall, then there is still plenty to look forward to."

On coach Juande Ramos, the defender added: "I'm very happy with him.

"But it is the board who must decide if he will stay next season."

Barcelona's Henry slams media over Ronaldinho treatment

Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has hit out at the media's treatment of Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho quit Barca in the summer for AC Milan and Henry admits: "I've never known such poor treatment given to a player who had given so much to Barcelona.

"It is true that he also failed at timely moments during his last season at the Camp Nou, but at times he was treated like a murderer, like he had killed someone.

"He is a man with a big heart and we were all saddened by the way things were reported about his behaviour that were not true."

Real Madrid signing Huntelaar: Big day has arrived!

The deal was rubberstamped yesterday and Huntelaar said: "The truth is that it's been a very long couple of days, in which people have not stopped asking me about what was happening, but I could hardly say anything.

"I had to keep everyone waiting .... and finally the big day has arrived!

"I'm very happy right now, I guess I will be much happier when I arrive in Madrid and can be with my new teammates."

Huntelaar arrives next month as a direct replacement for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

The striker added: "Ruud was always one of my favourites as a footballer. He is an extraordinary goalscorer and I'm sorry for his recent knee injury. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

"I want to score many goals to help Real Madrid as soon as possible and it's encouraging to be thought of like that because Van Nistelrooy is the best.

"I'm Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. I'm different, but we both share the same badge, that of Real Madrid. That is why I'm extremely happy."

Getafe president: Real Madrid paid for arrogance

Getafe president Angel Torres says Real Madrid paid for their arrogance on Saturday night.

Real were completely outplayed by Getafe and after the 3-1 win, Torres declared: "There are things I do not understand.

"I heard the players of Madrid and even the president talking about the game against Barca. It even bothered me.

"They forgot that before then, they were playing against Getafe and Sevilla and by December 14 they could be nine points behind (Barca). Today they have paid for thinking about other things."

Torres added: "The solution isn't to buy two more Higuains. It will take them too long to adjust. I think Real Madrid should resign themselves to not winning anything this season.

Schuster: Getafe should've won by more

Bernd Schuster could not explain why Real Madrid were so easily outplayed by Getafe last night.

A double from Juan Albin and Ikechuwku Uche's late goal saw Getafe thump visitors Real, whose lone goal came from Javier Saviola. 

Afterwards, Schuster declared: "This defeat doesn't hurt, it was coming from the opening whistle. We never had the feeling we could win here, that's why it does not hurt. 

"Getafe were far superior to us. They've played a fantastic game and I think even the result has been short in the interests of Getafe." 

Asked if Real lost through player "laziness" or due to injuries to key personnel, Schuster admitted: "I do not know ..."
